My name is Aliza.
I’m a mom of three, a teacher of science, the wife of a musician and I have always been a lover of art! I’ve taken many art classes and likely dappled in EVERYTHING! However, glass has been a lover of mine since 2020, when I taught myself the art of stained glass during the pandemic and shortly after having my last child. (I really never do rest). I love the tranquility that the light of a stained glass piece can give. I’m pretty sure that every window in my house has some sort of colored glass in it! After learning to cut glass and solder, I began to incorporate recycled bottles into my works. I love the roughness they give each piece. I’m also a lover of old things, so this gives me more reason to scavenge the flea markets and recycling bins. A lot of my pieces are made for the outdoors. This is because I’m passionate about nature, plants and my garden. Creating art for the outdoors, allows me to combine all of my favorite things together.
